First Impression: nice visual contrast. I like the sharp focus and tight field. it definitely caught my eye.

Composition: your choices with the lighting were all good ones. only a few specks of over saturation on the strawberry around one seed. good show. I also don't find my eye starved for details in the texture of the napkin or tablecloth you chose as your background. it provides texture without distraction.

Technique: I am assuming you used some form of photo manipulation and or digital art to transition from vegetable matter to flesh [or the appearance thereof] nicely done. Keeping the last row of seeds before the transition, and sinking them into the layer that represents the silverskin of the heart blends the elements in a way we don't even think about the line between sugar and protein.

Details: three little things bug me; only because of the degree of realism you achieved do they even become an issue.
1. The leaves around the top of your strawberry are dry or drying, the richness of color contrasts poorly with the paper thin edge around the hole in the leaf [or hull]
2. The reflection on the knife blade, a) seems to show seed dimples where it should show veins or arteries. b) the reflection seems shorter than the object it is reflecting.
3. the vein running from the knife & ultimately wrapping around the the bottom of the heart. it looks great until it gets to the edge where it wraps around, then it shows us it us just painted on, a little roundness where it wraps maybe a little indent in the muscle on either side and you could have made a real wow [to be fair though, who might have seen it even if you worked on it for hours].

Interpretation: I think there are a few logical interpretations, including the tenderness of the heart and the unyielding aspects of our world. Knowing that the artist's hand put the knife where it it in the picture leads me to wonder about who put the knife in your heart [symbolically].
with the near severing of the image by the blade, I'm sure there is some hurt there.
lastly for interpretations,, was the serrated knife a conscious choice, or a "weapon of opportunity?" that answer would flavor my interpretation quite a bit. but wait, I'm not a mental health professional.

Portfolio view: I noticed red and white or clear and organic in contrast with mineral / mechanical are themes for your photography. You respect those themes well, using them without using them to death.

Final thoughts:You managed to keep not only a beauty, but a pretty-ness [in a piece of art that could have been done a thousand different ways. you chose to stay away from blood [I think it was a good choice] and to stick to a moment in time , and to let the moment speak for itself.

Nice work. Well Shown.
